USO Guam celebrated the 78th anniversary of Guam's Liberation with over one thousand Service Members and families

Guam’s Liberation is a yearly event commemorating the end of Japanese occupation and liberation of the island by US military forces in 1944. The main event is the Liberation Day Parade, which returned in 2022 after a COVID-19 hiatus and attracted thousands of island residents and visitors. USO Guam, along with partners, USO Indo-Pacific Mission Partner - Enterprise Rent-A-Car and USO Guam Gold Sponsor - GTA TeleGuam, provided refreshments and participated in the parade. Centers, USO Andersen, USO Naval Base Guam, and USO Tumon Bay, hosted feasts with island-style favorites such as red rice, fried/BBQ chicken, and pig roasts, supported by the Gary Sinise Foundation.
