100th Battalion 442nd Regiment's Female Professional Development Seminar with USO PTA
USO Pohakuloa Training Area was honored to serve the Soldiers of the 100th Battalion 442nd Regiment during their 2-week training rotation. During their training, USO PTA not only provided a Home Away From Home for Soldiers, but they had the honor of helping the unit honor Sergeant Wataru Kohashi, a twice wounded World War II veteran. Sergeant Kohashi served from 1943-1945 in France and Italy with the 442nd Infantry Regimental Combat Team, a unit founded in June 15, 1942 and comprised of almost all second-generation Japanese-Americans. USO PTA was also honored to help facilitate the unit’s first ever Female Professional Development Seminar.
